Self-Care Is How I Celebrate Me: Introducing My New Hoodies!

Self-care has become an important part of my healing journey. For a long time, I was so focused on surviving, helping others, and making it through each day that I sometimes forgot to care for myself. Now, I am learning that taking care of myself is not selfish—it is one of the most meaningful ways I can celebrate myself.

That is why I created these new “Self-Care Is How I Celebrate Me” hoodies for The Celebratory Collection.

Why I Chose This Message

The message on these hoodies is personal to me. Self-care is about more than getting your hair done, buying something new, or taking a relaxing bath. Those things can be wonderful, but self-care can also mean:

  • Protecting your peace
  • Setting healthy boundaries
  • Taking a break without feeling guilty
  • Going to therapy or asking for help
  • Walking away from things that hurt you
  • Speaking kindly to yourself
  • Celebrating how far you have come

Every time we choose to care for ourselves, we are saying, “I matter. My needs matter. My healing matters.” That is something worth celebrating.

The Meaning Behind the Design

The colorful butterfly represents healing, transformation, and becoming the person you were always meant to be. A butterfly does not begin its journey with wings—it has to grow, change, and go through a process before it can fly.

That is how healing can feel. We may go through dark and uncomfortable seasons, but those seasons do not have to be the end of our story.

The beautiful flowers represent growth, self-love, and the care we must continue giving ourselves. The bright colors remind us that even after difficult times, there can still be beauty, joy, confidence, and hope in our lives.

Two Hoodie Styles—One Powerful Message

This design is available on two different hoodie styles, so you can choose the fit that makes you feel the most comfortable and confident.

The regular hoodie offers a classic, comfortable fit with long sleeves, a hood, and a front pocket. It is perfect for relaxing, running errands, attending casual events, or staying cozy while practicing a little self-care.

The cropped hoodie gives the same empowering message a stylish, modern look. It is a great choice for anyone who enjoys a shorter fit that can be paired with high-waisted jeans, leggings, joggers, or a skirt.

No matter which style you choose, the meaning remains the same: taking care of yourself is one of the best ways to honor and celebrate who you are.

Wear Your Reminder

Some days, practicing self-care comes naturally. On other days, we may need a reminder that we are worthy of the same love, patience, and compassion we give to everyone else.

These hoodies were created to be that reminder.

When you wear “Self-Care Is How I Celebrate Me,” I hope you feel encouraged to choose yourself, protect your peace, honor your progress, and celebrate every step of your healing journey.

You do not have to wait for a birthday, a major accomplishment, or a perfect moment to celebrate yourself. Every time you rest, heal, grow, set a boundary, or keep going, you are giving yourself another reason to celebrate.

At The Celebratory Collection, we believe every part of your journey matters—and so do you.

Self-care is how I celebrate me. How do you celebrate yourself?

Meet the Heart Behind The Celebratory Collection ๐Ÿ’œ✨

Hi, I'm Zitaqwa Muhammad , founder of The Celebratory Collection . If you're here, I want you to know something right away: You are worth celebrating. That simple belief is the reason this brand exists. My Story For much of my life, I struggled to celebrate myself. Like many people, I carried pain, trauma, self-doubt, and experiences that made it difficult to see my own worth. I spent years focusing on surviving instead of celebrating. I often put everyone else first and rarely stop to recognize my own growth, strength, or accomplishments. Over time, I began a healing journey that changed my life. Healing wasn't easy. Some days were beautiful. Some days were messy. Some days I wanted to quit. But every step forward taught me something important: every part of the journey deserves recognition—not just the finish line. That lesson became the foundation for everything I create. Why I Started The Celebratory Collection The Celebratory Collection wasn't created just to sel...

Healing Doesn't Have to Look the Same for Everyone

One of the biggest lessons I've learned on my healing journey is that keeping everything inside was hurting me far more than talking about it. For years, I carried the pain of my abuse in silence. I thought if I didn't talk about it, maybe it would go away. Instead, it became heavier. Through therapy and sharing my story, I discovered something powerful: speaking about my feelings helped me begin to release them. Every time I talked about my experiences, I felt a little less alone and a little more free. Another thing I've learned is that healing isn't one-size-fits-all. For a long time, I thought journaling meant sitting down every single day and filling pages. When I couldn't keep up with that, I felt like I was failing. But the truth is, journaling doesn't have to be a daily task or another item on your to-do list. It doesn't have to feel like a chore. Journal when you need to. Journal when you have something to say. Journal when your heart feels heavy....

A Milestone in My Healing Journey

To anyone on their journey: ♡ Healing isn't about being perfect. It's about being brave enough to start, honest enough to go deeper, and strong enough to keep choosing YOU. Keep going. You're worth it. ♡ This blog is going to be a little more personal and vulnerable than my usual posts, but I think it's important to share. Over the past several months, I have been participating in both a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and later an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) as part of my mental health healing journey. When I first started PHP, I was nervous, anxious, and honestly not looking forward to sitting in a room full of strangers. I was convinced I wouldn't talk much and had no idea what to expect. What I found instead was one of the most important experiences of my life. Through PHP and IOP, I have come a long way. I met some truly amazing people who reminded me that I wasn't alone. Even though our stories were different, many of us shared the ...
