Meet the Heart Behind The Celebratory Collection 💜✨

Hi, I'm Zitaqwa Muhammad, founder of The Celebratory Collection.
If you're here, I want you to know something right away:
You are worth celebrating.
That simple belief is the reason this brand exists.

My Story

For much of my life, I struggled to celebrate myself.
Like many people, I carried pain, trauma, self-doubt, and experiences that made it difficult to see my own worth. I spent years focusing on surviving instead of celebrating. I often put everyone else first and rarely stop to recognize my own growth, strength, or accomplishments.
Over time, I began a healing journey that changed my life.
Healing wasn't easy. Some days were beautiful. Some days were messy. Some days I wanted to quit. But every step forward taught me something important: every part of the journey deserves recognition—not just the finish line.
That lesson became the foundation for everything I create.

Why I Started The Celebratory Collection

The Celebratory Collection wasn't created just to sell products.
It was created to start conversations.
It was created to remind people that healing matters.
It was created to celebrate survivors, dreamers, fighters, parents, students, business owners, people rebuilding their lives, and anyone trying to become the best version of themselves.
I wanted to build a space where people could wear reminders of their strength.
A space where a shirt, mug, tote bag, blanket, or hat could carry a message that says:
✨ Keep going.
✨ You've come a long way.
✨ Your story matters.
✨ You are worth celebrating.

My Own Healing Journey

One of the biggest chapters of my life has been learning to choose myself.
Through therapy, personal growth, and a commitment to healing, I've worked hard to become someone I can be proud of. I've faced challenges that tested me physically, emotionally, and mentally.
Every day isn't perfect.
But every day I continue showing up.
That is something worth celebrating.
Many of the designs you'll find in my store come directly from experiences I've lived through. Messages like:
            • Healing Looks Good On Me
            • Self-Worth Over Everything
            • I'm In My Healing Mode
            • Carrying Peace Everywhere I Go
            • Celebrate Your Wins
            • I Am Worth Celebrating
            • These aren't just slogans.
            • They're reminders I needed myself.

More Than a Brand

The Celebratory Collection is more than a business.
It's a movement built around self-love, self-care, growth, healing, and joy.
I believe we spend too much time waiting for big moments before we allow ourselves to celebrate.
We celebrate birthdays.
We celebrate holidays.
We celebrate graduations.
But what about:
  • Making it through a hard week?
  • Leaving a toxic situation?
  • Finishing therapy?
  • Learning to love yourself?
  • Taking your first step toward healing?
  • Simply getting out of bed on a difficult day?
Those moments matter too.
And that's exactly what The Celebratory Collection stands for.

My Vision for the Future

While merchandise is where this journey started, my dream is much bigger.
My long-term goal is to create experiences, events, retreats, and communities where people can come together to celebrate every stage of life.
I want to create safe spaces where people feel seen, heard, supported, and appreciated.
Whether you're celebrating a milestone, rebuilding after hardship, or simply learning to love yourself again, I want The Celebratory Collection to be a reminder that your journey matters.

A Message From Me to You

If no one has told you lately:
I'm proud of you.
I'm proud of the battles you've fought that nobody knows about.
I'm proud of the healing you're doing.
I'm proud of the goals you're chasing.
And I'm proud of the person you're becoming.
Thank you for supporting my dream, my mission, and this growing community.
Together, we're creating a world where people don't wait for permission to celebrate themselves.
Because you don't have to earn your worth.
You already have it.
💜 With love,

Zitaqwa Muhammad

"Not just a store — a place where every journey, every victory, and every version of you deserves to be celebrated." ✨🎉

Healing Doesn't Have to Look the Same for Everyone

One of the biggest lessons I've learned on my healing journey is that keeping everything inside was hurting me far more than talking about it. For years, I carried the pain of my abuse in silence. I thought if I didn't talk about it, maybe it would go away. Instead, it became heavier. Through therapy and sharing my story, I discovered something powerful: speaking about my feelings helped me begin to release them. Every time I talked about my experiences, I felt a little less alone and a little more free. Another thing I've learned is that healing isn't one-size-fits-all. For a long time, I thought journaling meant sitting down every single day and filling pages. When I couldn't keep up with that, I felt like I was failing. But the truth is, journaling doesn't have to be a daily task or another item on your to-do list. It doesn't have to feel like a chore. Journal when you need to. Journal when you have something to say. Journal when your heart feels heavy....

A Milestone in My Healing Journey

To anyone on their journey: ♡ Healing isn't about being perfect. It's about being brave enough to start, honest enough to go deeper, and strong enough to keep choosing YOU. Keep going. You're worth it. ♡ This blog is going to be a little more personal and vulnerable than my usual posts, but I think it's important to share. Over the past several months, I have been participating in both a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and later an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) as part of my mental health healing journey. When I first started PHP, I was nervous, anxious, and honestly not looking forward to sitting in a room full of strangers. I was convinced I wouldn't talk much and had no idea what to expect. What I found instead was one of the most important experiences of my life. Through PHP and IOP, I have come a long way. I met some truly amazing people who reminded me that I wasn't alone. Even though our stories were different, many of us shared the ...
